This series is a great way to get a basic understanding of emergency power systems and what you need to maintain electricity, heat and household appliances during a long-term power outage. During these 3 classes, you will learn:- the differences between AC and DC electricity
- how to tell how much power your devices and equipment need
- what kinds of things can be powered from your car
- what cables are needed and how to hook them up to power our devices
- how to safely store fuel for your car or generator in ways you have never heard about.
- the many advantages of having battery bank(s) in our home.
- how to select the correct batteries
- what wires and cables are needed
- how to hook up batteries to make a bank
- what kind of things we can power or not from our battery bank
- about home battery banks, portable battery banks, mobile battery banks.
- how to service and maintain batteries
Survey: Lecture-demonstration classes that give you a board overview of the topic. Refreshments and handouts provided.
Cost for this 3-class series: $40 per person, $15 for an additional spouse or household member.
