Happy Family Fall Ideas
The fall harvest is a good time to spend time have fun with your family. In most areas there are festive fall activities to do, places to go and fun to have. These activities can be done with every kind of family...extended, empty-nesters or families with children at home of all ages. I love this time of year because the chill in the air invites cozy outerwear and hot beverages. Here are some fun harvest and Halloween ideas from all of us here at Mary Ann's Cupboards:
Visit a pumpkin patch or corn maze. My kids love riding the hayride into a pumpkin patch in the fall. They pick out their pumpkins and play in the corn maze and have hot apple cider.Picking apples in an orchard is always fun. We have a humanitarian orchard not far from our house. We go and pick as a service to for those in need and then we also get to pick a few for ourselves. The fruit is cheap and fun is free!
Park hopping in the fall is always fun. Pick a different park each outing to visit and see what your can do there. Some parks have frizbee golf courses, volleyball nets or tennis courts. Bring sand toys or a ball to play a fun game with. Playground tag, lava monster and other games are also fun to play on the play ground equipment and require no extra equipment.
Halloween or harvest gatherings are a fun way to connect with family and friends. We have a harvest party where we eat soup, decorate sugar cookies and play games every year on Halloween.
